I have heard that - I think I will try that side by side. One benefit
of the ox gall is simply that treated paper is just easier to work on.
I wonder if just using the sponge without the ox gall does the same. I
will let you know how it works out. <br>

sizing, which resists the paint. When you cover the surface with a
wash, as it dries the little pinholes appear in the wash. I now lightly
wipe the surface of the paper with a clean, damp sponge before painting
on it and the problem hasn't come back to haunt me. This works for me
on all the papers I mentioned previously. I haven't used Twinrocker or
Esportazione. </font></div>
