When I was teaching I gave them a materials list. There would always
be somebody who thought<br>
they would save money buying the cheap stuff. But when they would SEE
with their own eyes<br>
how somebody's work did on the good paper, they would go back and get
the right thing.<br>
I had them buy 2 sheets of Arches 140 lb. cold press paper and cut or
tear it into 4ths.<br>
That gave them 8 paintings and we had 8 sessions. Not expensive at
all, really.<br>

your students to stop using pads of “less expensive” water color
pads and buy some decent paper? It is difficult to see how they will
ever
