<DIV>A few years ago I was in the Cape Cod area and visited many galleries. Most of the paintings represented were in oil and they were expensive. There was one watercolor artist who had his own gallery/studio and was there painting. I can't recall his name but his work was magnificent as were the paintings already hanging in the gallery. The prices were about 1/2 or less than the oils I had seen. </DIV>

<DIV>He and I talked for a while and in the course of the conversation the price of watercolor paintings came up. Of course, he realized the difference in prices but his love of watercolor was the driving force for him. </DIV>

<DIV>It seemed unfair to me that a talent such as his was not competitive in the marketplace.</DIV>
