I think Arches has the same paper in their blocks, but on every block I have ever used, the back side of the paper is facing up. It has a slight texture and I like it for drybrush.

  Thanks Carrie for your response.  I have been using the sheets and maybe I would do better to simply cut them up to a good size for traveling and forget about trying to find blocks.  Do you think that Arches blocks are different than their sheets?


  It is freezing cold here and a good day to be indoors painting, although I can't seem to warm up even inside!  In today's paper, it was noted that this is the coldest winter in 25 years.  I didn't need that information!
