Miriam, this is a beautifully done painting. I agree with some of the other critiques that the one foot, in particular, stands out unnecessarily because of the orange in it. It doesn't bother me that the dog is painted boldly and I don't feel that it competes with the true focal point, the young girl. I feel myself very drawn to her beautiful face and lovely expression but I do think that the mouth is a little too boldly painted and I would prefer to see it softened, maybe a deeper valued flesh tone rather than red. 


I add my thoughts humbly with the admission that I am completely envious of your obvious talents. Your work is beautiful!
