Congratulations Pat on a very interesting painting.  The colors are beautiful and the design is interesting.  The spectator wants to study the painting to understand the complexity of the shadows and "le jeu de lumière" (play of light?).

Very nicely done and you should be proud.

  Hi again, gang.

  With the guidance of Sharon Williams, my intructor, I have just finished what I think is my best painting yet. The assignment was to do a still life linking shadows and using counterchange- with a three-pigment palette. On my Flickr site is the painting and the sketch on which it is based. Whoever would have thought I could do a painting like this of a paint can and roller.
