I would "ditto" Annette's comments and would add that, personally, I cannot tolerate Facebook!!!!

I'm with Pat—I like the idea of the redesign, but I do prefer the medium of email. I find it blends into my day. If I had to log on to the site to communicate and that were the only means, I would probably not do that very often.
Though there are enjoyments with Facebook, mostly it feels like a "time-sucker." If Aquanet becomes a site based on that model without the emails to the list, I probably would visit infrequently at best and fade into the background quickly. That's news as I see it right now.
However, I LOVE the idea of commenting directly on the page of the gallery—that's a brilliant idea. It would be like a group of us all going to a gallery together and standing around chatting about the work. Excellent thought, Raymond!
Can you add that feature but maintain our "list" discussions as well or does that defeat the purpose of your redesign?

I know the Facebook sort of thing is killing lists, but speaking just for me, I can only take so much tecnology and have only so much time I want to spend doing some things.
I would not care to log on to a site every day in preference to reading or not reading some email.

Hi all
I am planning out a fairly major overhaul to the aquanet website and this list and want some feedback on a plan - I am thinking of adding comments and some variety of chats to the galleries and next to the critique on the home page. This would allow people to log into the site and then enter and view comments right there on the page, rather than use the separate medium of email. I would keep the list around but much of its current use would be [I feel better] replaced by this.
Thoughts? (yes, think it through before replying)
Please reply TO THE LIST not to me directly.
