I've just resubscribed to Aquanet and today's messages are the first to come in. I am shocked to learn of Cia's passing. Although I did not know Cia personally, she had been a member of this list I believe since its inception. I too belonged before it became "high teck" when we passed paintings by "snail" mail. I am saddened to learn of her passing.

Subject: [Aquanet] Concerning a Tribute to Cia
Hello All,
Cia and I shared critiques privately off and on since 2007. I have images of about 15-16 of what I feel are some of her best paintings in my computer files. If we decide to do a page of several works I will be happy to upload what I have. Then if anyone else has something I don't they can share too. Perhaps we could display a tribute to Cia for awhile (say 3-6 months or so????) take a vote or poll on the painting we should use as her memorial painting then display the single selected painting as we have done for Ed West.
Someone mentioned copyright issues...copyright should not be a problem as long as we give Cia the credit for her work.
Raymond, please forgive me if I'm overstepping my bounds here, I just thought this might be a nice solution.
We know eventually there will be other artists we will want to remember and honor. I don't think we want to maintain a full page of each deceased artists work.
What do you think? Would this work?
Keep those brushes wet!
Susie
