I think you have to remember the spirit of Pat Davis' suggestion, which is to do what was done for Ed West. There is the matter of what her family would like to have displayed, since they certainly have more right to the work than anyone else. I don't know that Aquanet should be displaying photographs. We are a watercolour group, and we owe Cia the same thing that we gave Ed West.

Subject: [Aquanet] Cia's watercolor friends
Hi,
Lately Cia began a webgroup called Cia's watercolor friends which some of the Aquanet members might have joined. She wanted to gather artists to encourage them to sell their works online or otherwise. Also she felt watercolor was not getting the respect of oil and other media--she wanted to discuss how to get a better place for watercolors. She was very excited about the group and for awhile artists shared ideas and messages. There was a way to add photos of paintings to share. As Cia's health deteriorated, she did not have time to keep up the pages. Although I have known Cia online for awhile, during this page, I got to know her much better.
She loved painting and shared her methods and plans. During the years, she had suffered with illnesses but she always returned to her painting with excitement and energy. Recently she had problems being outside but she would wrap herself up to protect her skin from light and go outdoors to paint anyway. She was a very determined gal and a very inspiring Southern belle.
In the memorial, her family has said that she loved to sing and taught harmony to her family.
In one of her last messages to me she wrote that her four children were gathering to see her. She was looking forward to singing with them. Looking back, I think this mid-August gathering of her family was a sign that her life was ending. But she was so upbeat in her message to me, that I didn't see it. I only saw her love of her family.
When a person adds a message to the memorial, there is a place to upload a photo. I don't think the family has upload paintings. One thing Cia did say to me recently was she was sorry she had sold some of her best watercolors. Maybe if Aquanet is going to have a page for her, we can gather photos of her best works? She did have a print place where some of her prints were being sold. And her family may have photos?
