Great to hear from you again, Bev. Get out that palette and squeeze some
paint in it and doodle with some small pieces of paper, 5'" x 7", fit 8"
x 10" frames. It is lot's of fun and you never know, some may be real
winners. I love snow scenes and this time of year, at least in New York,
a white Christmas is what everyone loves. I did a 10" x 14" painting for
my Christmas Cards and the painting is sold already. It's from my
favorite memories of Vermont called "Vermont Vacation".. Don't get there
as often as I used to. The image had a reflection from the glass but it
doesn't show on the card. I never dreamed it would sell in the show and
had to get a photo before the buyer picked it up. I'm sending them early
to include an invitation to a party at my new Studio and Gallery. Will
have door prizes and free prints for larger sales. The Gallery will
close after Christmas as the farm Market where I rent space is closed
until the end of February. The Gallery has been great . 6 people have
shown up who bought my very early work, before I knew enough to
photograph them or have slides for entries. They have volunteered to let
me have them for scanning so I can make cards and prints. One is a snow
scene which I will use for next year's card. Some of these paintings are
28 years old and have nonacid free matting, so it is well that they will
be refreshed. I love finding out what happened to them. Our paintings
are like our children. We are anxious to know if they found a good home.
