Hi, gang.

I'm late getting my 2 cents worth in for Phyllis' painting but I shall
bravely leap in.

Phyllis, you noted that you wanted to get more calligraphy in and I
think you succeeded admirably. Your foreground is certainly more
detailed and more successful than any foreground I have ever done.
Bravo! I also commend you on your use of aerial perspective. That works
wonderfully. (More sounds of applause) I also love the rich, rich green
of the central field/pasture.

If I may, I would suggest that the cows lieing in the field are a bit
too evenly spaced. I think putting two closer or having another
overlapping one of them (or underlapping) would help. Mind you, that is
a pretty picky criticism for such a successful piece.

On another topic, I had a good chuckle looking at Claudia's dandelion.
No, I'm not criticizing it. I love it! I am not doing a May painting
because, as previously noted, painting flowers massively depresses my
testosterone levels; however, my idea was to show a lawn full of these
glorious happy spring flowers with a sign in the foreground stating,
"This are a has been treated with Killex." Sick? Naw. Just a little bit
demented.

:-)
