Signature FileMany Thanks for your nice comments Cia, I really appreciate this ... I would appreciate more if some flowers would decide to bloom ! It's cool right now and I am waiting for Springtime flowers in my garden to do new paintings. That's life in Quebec province.

    First of all, Phyllis McDonough, "Pasture" - Watercolor, 11" x 15", on our home page for critique...
        I love that painting, Phyllis!!  You have achieved a great composition, good color scheme,
    and I like that you wanted to emphasis calligraphic strokes.  Personally I try not to have them,
    don't think mine look great, but yours is lovely and well done!  Congratulations on that painting!

    1.  "Ode au Printemps"
    15"x11"

    They sure are!  Outstanding painting, Lorraine, I like the way the subject(s) touch the edges
    of the painting.  My favorite part, and it seems like it's the focal point to me, is that
    yellow narcissus.  Thanks for posting this!

    2.  "Columbines"

    Arches 300 lb

    I saw these beautiful flowers blooming in my garden, so I had to take a photo of them. Some inevitable changes, of course. With the generous matting, it is a rather large piece.

    Doris, I have some wild ones in my garden.  The first time I saw those beautiful leaves, I thought, what is that?
    Eventually it bloomed and I learned it was wild columbine, this same variety that you are showing us.  
    This is an exceptional rendition of that flower, I congratulate you on this!

    I have already commented on the first two.  This is fun!
