[Aquanet] KILIMANJARO

Signature FileI've used it and had some problems. In particular, when needing a straight edge (like on a building), the paint would bleed out causing a ragged edge. Probably it's good for a loose technique. I have used their baby block and liked it.

Not. I'm with Doris, I've tried this paper several times, the last time after a conversation with the dealer who told me the paper was totally reformed and improved as to the sizing problem. I should have gone back and made him eat what I ended up tearing up for students.

It is white, but there are several papers that are bright white. This stuff, pardon my French, sucks paint like a Hoover, and the sizing can probably cut glass but it is not even. I have not tried it in the last three years, but have given the paper at least four opportunities, one more than it really deserved. The last batch I tried smelled even worse than Arches.

TOO LATE! Yours is the only "con" out of lots of "pros"
and now you got me scared! ha ha.... but at that price,
it has to be good for something!

CIA, Unless they have radically changed this paper and uses better sizing, it is a disaster to paint on. It immediately sucks up the paint, like a blotter. Took a watercolor class at the Kanuga WC workshop -- a week (Hendersonville, NC), and we all got nice black painting aprons and two sheets of K paper, one 140#, the other 300# cp from Cheap Joe, himself. We were extremely pleased and were anxious to try the papers out. I thought it was just me, but everyone complained about the inability to move the paint around. The apron was the better deal, by far. I'd suggest you buy and try a piece first. Perhaps they've improved the sizing situation.
