Hey Pat I also prefer my synthetic brush which I have had since the
beginning and love it! And yes I have several Kolinskies. Phyllis

Hi, gang.
I found the recent discussion on Kolinski sable brushes to be most
interesting. Earlier this year I has asked about them on this discussion
board, and a member, a most generous (and sneaky) person sent me three
brushes- one a kolinski and two good synthetics. I immediately wrote
back and thanked him/her (no clues given) with special raves about the
sable.
Several weeks later I wrote again and accused my benefactor of being
both wise and sneaky as I had to admit that when painting, I almost
invariably reached for the synthetics rather than the sable. This person
snickered electronically and noted that he/she figured that would happen
as it mirrored his/her experience. That said, I still lust after the
sables, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.
strange but true
