[Aquanet] Checked the Hat paintings lately?

While I was on the site to vote, I went to look and see if there were any new Hat paintings up since last time I looked.

I saw Pat Davis' latest -- like I don't miss Mexico and the tropics enough, you can hear sea birds looking at this one, not to mention feel the sand squeak under your feet with that marvelous wash -- and also got my first chance to see a work by our hero, Raymond Blum.  There are still a few empty squares, tsk tsk, but check these new works out!

And I guess I need to ask some questions, because I figure most of the rest of you know these things already.  I knew The Shadow only as a radio program which came on too late for children, so I had to tune my old phonograph/radio combination as low as possible and hope that it would pick up a US signal later on at night, but doing that got to listen to the creaky sound and the "The Shadow Knows..........".  

While I was growing up and where I was, comic books or anything even vaguely like them were strictly forbidden, and I don't recall this guy in the Sunday NY Times comics.  Wish I knew more about this Shadow, be he four or five colours -- what a flair with the rhythm you created in the scarf, Raymond!  Made me realize in all the years I enjoyed that radio program, I never tried to visualize a character for that voice................
