[Aquanet] Lots of hats in the room!

I was raised by two English teachers and I would have said "the plant was almost as tall as me" also! I can't remember the rule itself. My daughter said that I should have said "as I" then she said you don't want to dangle the participle! I think it sounds funny the "right" way! Hmmmm. Anyway I sure like your painting! I wish I could see the plant itself. Mary Lewis from Washington State.

I just got off the telephone with someone who called to critique my contribution to the HATS show. Seems I erred by saying the plant was almost as tall as me. If I spoke correct English I would have said was almost as tall as I am .

Being educated in inner city Detroit and being raised by immigrant grandparents, I'm lucky to make any sense. My sincerest apologies to anyone I may offend with my posts to this group!

Maybe I suffer from speaking and writing with my RIGHT BRAIN? ; )

Anyway, thanks Raymond for allowing me the chance to display my artwork.

  Carol
