[Aquanet] So ... what best embodies "close up" to you?

Hi Raymond and all Aquanet list.

I am choosing "Orchidaceae Phalaenopsis" by Richard Price of the flowers
featured on closeup page as detail is so good and gives a very "close up" of
the orchid veins and shape of flower.Color is good too and putting black
background brings out features even more. Great work Richard Price. Do you
do flower features for books by any chance?

This year for the first time in my life, I was given two orchid plants. I
looked at them very closely every day. tThey were white in color or to be
correct no color and one could not see the veins and features in those like
the pink orchid featured here. The only other color on these were shades of
green around the center of the flower. By the way, I took photos of those
white orchids at the different stages of their bud while opening and then
full opening when they started to bloom and while blooming and hope to do a
painting of those orchid photos soon - right now only thing I have is two
sticks in two planters. It is hard to remember to water two sticks - ha. I
have been told that one shouldn't water orchids very often or too much so
maybe they will survive under my care anyway.

So many good entries and enjoy looking at them all. So fun to see all these
paintings coming out each month for us all to enjoy.

Thanks again Raymond for this great idea. Looking forward to next month's
feature already.
