Actually, Seattle rarely gets this hot, and usually doesn't last this long
if it does.
When the heat wave gets over, then the humidity does come in with "on shore
flow" which is when the wind comes in from the ocean and eventually brings
moisture. Then it gets miserable.
This is VERY unusual for this area. It is known as a moderate area. I have
never tolerated heat well, and I'm glad that most of, if not all, of the
bigger stores and public places do have air conditioning. We really do not
have as much rain as most people think though. Our humiditiy is nothing
like the South East, thank goodness. Mary
