[Aquanet] I am back again with another question

I'm not only ham-handed, I'm terrible about math and both bleed and scar easily; so in Phyllis' situation, I would make my small paintings in standard sizes, for which you can easily buy mats. For anything that needs a custom mat, I go to a framer's and have them cut one.

My hat's always been off for anyone who can cut mats and/or do their own framing. I've tried it enough times (for a long time, I was lucky -- my best friend had a shop and decided to add framing to the business, and she was born for it, and tried to teach me) that I've decided cutting mats is among my many limitations. Sigh...............

  Hi, Phyllis.

Might I suggest that you consider getting a mat-cutting kit and cut your own. I am not only a mechanical dunce, but I am also incredibly ham-handed, so if I can do it, anyone can. Not only that, you save a pile of money.

Once again, Louise, many thanks. (It was she who sold me the mat cutter)

  cheers

I love this group since the time I began painting till now you have always been there for me through thick and thin with the answers to my questions and while I know I have asked a lot today I would like to ask one more question.

I cut my paper down to 11½" x 71/2" for my demonstrations and have ended up with a lot of small sometimes decent paintings but I cannot find mats to fit, any ideas as to where I might find mats to fit this size? Phyllis

P.S. I promise to sign off after this!
