If you trim off  a couple of inches on the top, your paper size would
then be 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches.  This is the perfect size for 8" x 10"
standard size mats. The 2 inch strip can be used to paint bookmarks.  I
love to experiment with colors and designs and sell dozens of these book
marks.  I punch a hole at the top and insert a very narrow ribbon (about
a 12 inch piece doubled, two ends pulled through loop).  I also find
these excess strips handy for testing colors before applying to 
paintings.
