Hi Pat, Thanks for an interesting article!

 

I use plenty of blue in my paintings especially ultramarine, just because I
love it I guess. 

Observers of my works often comment on that, like "what is this color you
always use?" But is it good or bad, I don't know.

At the very least it seems to promote a feeling of serenity, the pitfall to
avoid then is ending up with an overly cool painting. Lots of light (warm,
that is) despite lots of blue, that's the challenge I am often confronted
with.

 

May be the color blue can be used while meditating to gather oneself prior
to a painting session? I have to give it a try.
