I was about to recommend the Pike Palette when Barry beat me to it. I
once had one fly off the roof of my car (having forgotten I temporarily
put it there ) and wasn't damaged at all. Fortunately no one ran over
it. Frank Webb likes to use a flat 2 " brush that he slides into the
various color wells so he filed the front edge off each one. He invented
his own version ,same size , but made of the thinner plastic. Frank's
palettes crack and holes wear in the bottom of the wells. I've been
through three of those. The Pike palette has a tighter lid that stays
closed, which is also an advantage. They are $24 with free shipping
ordered on line at www.johnpikeartproducts.com.
