[Aquanet] Call for September critique

As the August critique-ee (is there such a word in English!) I
encourage anyone to step forward. I posted my painting for the first
time this month with Aquanet and got five or six very intelligent and
supportive comments about it—a wonderful experience.

I would enjoy hearing from more people too—August must be a quiet
month, or perhaps I left most of the list speechless? HAH! Would that
it were true! Having posted a painting for the monthly critique, it
brings home the importance of feedback and how much we enjoy the
attention, appreciate the fact someone has actually looked at our
work and offered their experience of seeing it. Thank you to the
silent ones as well who looked—I am grateful I had the courage to put
one up and again encourage others to clamor to Raymond to be "first"
for September.

I'm in the middle of an oil commission for a portrait of two gorgeous
children—a daunting task at best! And I'm doing some glazing again
with oils in the classical style, fat over lean and warm over cool
layers. The years of watercolor pay off when I take a detour back
into the rich world of oils.

Thank you, Raymond for continuing to shepherd this world-wide herd of
creative-types. I will post a waterfall today as a last minute August
entry and look forward to the September challenge.
