Wonderful to hear such good news! The painting is exquisite. I do not
do dark backgrounds well and admire your skill, Cia.
We painted out in the misty rain yesterday for another fundraiser art
sale. The leaves are beginning to change color here and October skies
will look bluer against the orange trees. Teh mountains look purple
because there is so much red from the foliage mixed with the hazy blue.
No frost yet but the cooler air is invigorating.
An exhibition of California Impressionists is soon over at the Katonah
Museum. It is on loan from www.irvinemuseum.org. Another wonderful
exhibit of Hudson River Paintings just ended at Boscobel
www.boscobel.org. You can see some of the paintings on this site and
check the links for more of our beutiful scenery.
