Now, now, Pat, don't get all emotional on us. Buck up. Everyone is wrong
occasionally. In my case, it was . . . hmmm, let's see . . . back in 1978.
(That's my story and I'm sticking with it.)
But, if it makes you feel any better, I agree with your comments about the
centrally located planter in the critique painting. Its position, so close
to the middle of the page (left to right) results in a little too much
overall balance for my liking, especially with the stucco walls pointing to
it. If the planter was offset slightly to either side, that would eliminate
the feeling of symmetry that seems to be bugging me.
Other than that, I really like the painting. It's an unusual subject
presented very skillfully.
