[Aquanet] Barry's painting

Oh, boy! Asking me to critique a painting of Barry's is asking an
amateur to critique a pro. Fearing nothing, however, I leap into the abyss.

As usual I am awed by Barry's ability to create images using a very
loose technique where a line or a stroke evokes
so much more than it actually indicates. Sigh...

In addition, Barry manages to take a lopsided composition with most of
the weight on the left and somehow make it work. I have trouble making
balanced compositions work, so again I am envious.

One thing does bother me a bit, however: just above the bridge and a
twitch to the right against the grey cliff is a brown/dark splotch, and
I'm not reading what it is. To me, it just doesn't fit with the rest of
the cliff.
