my problems with this only started this year too.
blame it on global warming

Is there a problem with mold growing on
the paintings if I make a painting with pigment that had "invisible"
spores in it? THat is what I worry about the most.
I would be interested if anyone has experienced that personally
rather than theorizing that this could happen.

Subject: [Aquanet] Mold

Hi,
Over the past year, I have had mold on a few color in the palette
wells. What I do is leave the palette open to allow drying instead of
closing the top to keep the colors wet. I know that the cover is too
the paints moist, but it just as easy to re wet watercolors after they
dry. I am not sure why this has started because until
this year, I have never had a problem until this year and I cannot tell you if
the occurrence is because of new tubes or not.
