Betul, I didn't catch the query on this, and it sounds like a useful thing to know, even though the only vinegar I seem to find is balsamic or white. What does it do again, please?

Hi Carol,
This is a belated answer to your brush problem. I was moving my house downtown, so I was basicly opening the computer to delete junk, not having time for anything else.
>From the depths of my memory came up an old knowledge, but I didn't want to write it before trying again myself. I tried with my brushes it works:
Boil some water in a small utensil deep enough to dip a brush, add like half a spoonfull of grape vinegar, dip the brush and give it 3-4 quick swirls. You will see that it takes it's pointed shape. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly as vinegar is acid.
All the best
