Pat,  The thought that occurs to me instantly is that this is a piece that is intensely personal and beautifully painted.  The planter in the center somehow seems so hopeful and optimistic sitting on the stucco wall.  I hope you will fill it with desert plants so that it soon becomes a part of the desert landscape, fitting in as much as it did with the lush greens of the tropics.
