Phyllis--
Here's what I love about your painting: The freshness and spontaneity of the brushwork. The wonderful use of a limited palette. The control of value contrasts. The light on the side of the building, which is in a focal point "sweet spot" and pulls my eye to it. The recession into the distance.

I wouldn't move the building, as that would put it in the center. But I do feel that something needs to be done with the large, undeveloped area. Is it a beach? I think you need something dark and interesting in the lower left corner to balance the painting, and a little more going on in that empty area to entertain the viewer.

That is the only area I would change. I love your painting.
