[Aquanet] Watercolor easel

Morning all,

I found a wolderful deal on WN Bristol easels yesterday and jumped on it.  I love the ease of set up but am having a problem (of course).  The right keyhole on the lower canvas support will not "lock" onto the screw.  It looks like the screw is slightly too large.  This allows the support to be floppy and always slightly "skewed".  Is this normal or do I need to return to the place of purchase?

Does anyone out there have one of these easels and can give me some pointers?  Also, the set up instruction that WN supplies STINK!!!
