Loved your paintings Pat!! Thanks for sharing, this is my rendering on Masa.

I am trying to think of other ways to use it. Cheng Khee Chee shows some
wonderful scenes using it. Anyway thanks again I especially loved the red
shoots.  phyllis

Hi Pat

I have also used and loved Masa paper I will check Sheila's site, always

open to new ideas. This blotting paper is too thick to crinkle I think...but

I like to paint "eastern" sometimes so will give that a shot see how it

comes out. Thanks Pat P.S. would love to see your painting

Hi, Phyllis and everyone.

For "fuzzy" paintings you might look at some of the Chinese artists as

many of them work on unsized paper. This paper can also work for

paintings of animals as the fuzziness works for hair.

Finally, I am not sure if it would work with your paper, but you could

check out the effects of using crinkled Masa paper. See

<http://www.sheilasondik.com/technique.html>

I hope this gives you some ideas. I did try the crinkled paper gig, and

I was pleased with how it worked. I even sold one of the paintings I did

in that fashion. If you'd like, drop me a line and I'll send you a photo

of one of the pieces.
