Hi Cia,

Wow...thank you for your kind words about my work! You made my day.

I've been with the group for a while....sort of a lurker most of the time. I think you guys were established for a while before I caught up with you though. I may lurk, but I still love getting the emails and learning and hearing about what everyone's up to. I especially like going through the website and seeing everyone's new stuff. We have some fabulous painters in this group!

Monica

And aren't you one of the peoplle who was with us from the start of this group? Who else, I know Julie Eastman

Your main difference in the colors down here will be the greens. They're much warmer than up at your latitude. Jeanne Dobie gave a great piece of advice about greens that I've used with success in every medium I work in.

Take a green (whether straight from the tube or mixed), add a teeny bit of red (for down here, a warm red, which can be anything from a warm burnt sienna to a cad red) and then mix in a yellow. You can get a huge variety of very natural looking, warm greens.

Oh mahn....Jamaica. Travel safe, my dear.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a modest number of colours (acrylic and water) to take to Jamaica. Being from Toronto area, our colours are different, even though we are in the throes of a marveloous autumn. It is gorgeous here right now. Like they say on the Price is Right - come on doooown....Valerie Kent
