What happened ! ? ! ? I come back from a one-week absence and find
32 messages in my Aquanet folder. Great to see this happening.

I was at a Springmaid Beach workshop in Myrtle Beach, SC with Carla
O'Connor. The subject was Composition Based on the Figure, stressing
bold composition and strong design using the human figure for
inspiration. And it was truly inspirational. I came home with great
ideas for figure paintings. Carla really knows how to "loosen you up"
Would you believe we started with 80 20-second gesture drawings from a
live model (without interruption)? If that doesn't loosen you up
nothing will. She is a very popular teacher and it is easy to see
why...great sense of humor and bubbling with energy.

Well, anyway, that's my excuse for posting this month's critique a
little late. The artist is Virginia Haines who has been generous in
offering her work for critique.

I need a painting for a December critique.....anonymous if you wish.
Would really like to see someone who hasn't been critiqued volunteer.
How about it?
