Leslie, Your cafepress site looks great...nice "monastary" mugs.
Regarding private teaching, I would suggest at least $20-25 per hour. It is pretty intense teaching one-on-one, and it takes time away from your own painting. You need to make it worth your time and energy.
Brian Bagnall's Creative Drawing and Painting (North Light) is a very good all-around art book, dealing with learning to see, drawing, color theory, painting (watercolor gouache, acrylics, oils), etc. I think it is out-of-print, but I've seen it on amazon.com.
Good luck,
Julie

Subject: [Aquanet] teaching question
Hi! I only got a couple of responses to my questions about online selling, so I just leapt out there and opened a café press store. J
My NEXT question: I've been teaching beginning art to children this summer in a small group setting, but have been approached about teaching a teenager privately. Does anyone have any suggestions for how much to charge per session? Also, any recommendations for a teaching text for my reference? This child is not a novice, and I've never taught someone who wasn't. I'm willing to jump into it but would love to have a book. I'm currently using "Teaching Art to Children" with my beginners. I'd love something as well laid-out!
Thank you for any answers you can give!
Leslie
