[Aquanet] masa paper

Hello  I would like to know if anyone has used masa
paper?  I used a while ago  and I am not sure of the
procedure.  I wet the paper and  crumpled it up  Then
I pasted it down on wall paper  or old used water
color paper with Elmer.s Glue or acrylic matte medium.
Then I wet and crumbled it.  
When dry I proceeded to paint  on the paper
