Hi, Mary and everyone.

Wow! I really, really love your subtle use of "white on white" in this 
painting. In fact, having tried it with disastrous results, I am in awe.

I will echo Cecilia's comments on the eyes... sort of. If the cat is 
really like that and the piece is for private viewing, it's great; 
however, of the piece is for sale, the eyes are too heavily outlined for 
verisimilitude, even if accurately done... IMHO, of course. This is a 
dilemma we face as artists for sure: do we portray our subject 
accurately or do we modify the work for the "market"? Since I am 
grasping and avaricious, you all know which way I tend to go.

Coming back to the painting, if I had done it, I'd be very proud of myself.
